One of the best things we can do to simplify our lives is to free ourselves from the obligation of attending things we don’t want to go to. Nothing sucks worse than being stuck at a concert that bores you silly, or eating another piece of rubbery chicken at an awards banquet for someone you don’t know. Or even being stuck for an evening with a neighbor as they show you the 5000 pictures they took on their recent trip to the beach (isn’t digital film grand?).
But if you are asked to do something, a brusque “No” comes off sounding rude and unfriendly.
So how do you get around it?

Did you ever get the feeling that all of our work toward organization, productivity and simplicity had come to a standstill? Or not only that you had stopped making progress, but that you had slid back into old habits?
We all have periods of backsliding. The trick is what you do about them to get back into productive, organized living. The 3 A’s (Awareness, Accept Your Position and Plan and Take Action) will get you back on the upside.

Cooking healthy meals for a family that is on the go can be challenging, if not downright difficult. Remembering to prep food ahead of time, to have the correct ingredients on hand, or even to start the cooking can all foil plans, and lead you to a bag of greasy hamburgers.
I rely on Freezer To Table meals for those nights when we are just pinched for time, or I don’t feel like cooking. Here are my favorites:
