This week I am bringing over more articles from LauraEarnest.com.
As working people, we have a lot of things on our plates. Far too often our self-care gets bumped so far down on the to-do list that we don’t ever get to it! Here are 5 ways to make yourself feel pampered, in 5 minutes or less.
Please note, these can apply to men as well as women!
Hand Massage
Grab your hand cream, or if you have none available, a few drops of olive oil, and massage it into your hands. Use steady pressure and don’t neglect your cuticles! Even better if someone can do this for you.
Hot Beverage
A nice cuppa whatever is sure to make you feel warm inside. Just make sure that you take time to actually sit and enjoy the beverage. This doesn’t count as pampering if you drink your beverage while attending to something else.
Nail Care
Nicely shaped nails, whatever the length, can make our hands look neat. Take a few minutes and smooth the corners. Push back cuticles with a warm washcloth (never cut!).
Eye Rest
Eyes can get tired, and tired eyes look tired. A few minutes of closing your eyes can relax your muscles. An added bonus: if you have cucumber slices handy put those on. Although it isn’t the cucumber that refreshes the eyes, it’s the water in them. If you drink tea, refrigerate the used tea bags and use those to chase away dark circles.
Muscle Heat
This is one of my all-time favorites. Buy or make a bean bag, put it in the microwave for a minute, and put on stiff muscles.
