When this article posts, school will have been back in session for its first week. My daughter is entering first grade, and is extremely excited. I found that going school shopping with her also got me excited about the upcoming fall.
For so many years, fall was a time of new enterprises, of starting new projects with a clean slate (or notebook). Now that I’m done with my formal schooling, I still get excited in the fall, and disappointed too, because I don’t have the excitement of new projects on the horizon.
I realized that I can still learn, and embark on new enterprises, even without the formal school structure. The question becomes what will I learn, since it will not be served to me and I must choose.
This weekend I will be sitting down and making a list of the things I would like to do in the next few months, and start moving in that direction.
What are the things you would like to learn?
