Back To School: What Will You Learn This Year?

Photo by striatic When this article posts, school will have been back in session for its first week. My daughter is entering first grade, and is extremely excited. I found that going school shopping with her also got me excited about the upcoming fall.

For so many years, fall was a time of new enterprises, of starting new projects with a clean slate (or notebook). Now that I’m done with my formal schooling, I still get excited in the fall, and disappointed too, because I don’t have the excitement of new projects on the horizon.

I realized that I can still learn, and embark on new enterprises, even without the formal school structure. The question becomes what will I learn, since it will not be served to me and I must choose.

This weekend I will be sitting down and making a list of the things I would like to do in the next few months, and start moving in that direction.
