How To Manage A Kindle Library

Posted on March 26, 2014 by

As I shared last week, I believe that ebooks are a great simplifier. They allow me to read more wherever I am.

Unfotunately, managing the electronic library can quickly get overwhelming. Unlike with paper books, you can’t sort them into piles, and it can be difficult to find what you are looking for. This week I share the strategies I use to manage my books as well as my reading workflow.

I write this blog as much for me as I do for you, and I would be only showing you half of the picture if I didn’t admit when I screw up. So this article is about a big fail, and what I did to get it back on track.

Our guest bedroom, which is rarely used for guests, has morphed into the place where I store all of my craft supplies and do sewing. I’ve been avoiding going in there recently, though, because it was so disorganized and cluttered that I was overwhelmed as soon as I walked in the door. It was time for a makeover.

Keeping Things Picked Up With A Hostage Box

Posted on August 31, 2012 by

My daughter, and to a certain extent myself, have a habit of not putting things away. After clearing piles of toys, papers, books and video games off the kitchen table so we could eat dinner, I watched my daughter dump everything into the living room. I decided it was time to give the hostage box a try.
