I spend a lot of time at the computer. My job is all computer, and I find myself writing and doing other things on the computer at night. This isn’t necessarily healthy, though. I realized a couple of weeks ago that I needed to make sure my down-time activities were more deliberate, and away from the computer.
For those of us who work in IT, it is easy to sit in front of a computer all day and all night. Even if we are not working, there are still millions of items that can take our attention online. By deliberately choosing other activities, we can get rid of these time sinks.
