I'm amazed at it myself. I still don't fully trust the system - I haven't abandoned my PDA with repeating reminders, and I maintain a project list just so nothing falls through the cracks. But yes, it is actually working and working well.
I find that I only think about next actions only when I am stuck on something, and I haven't moved forward. Otherwise, I know what needs to be done.
I like the fact that for projects that take a really long time I can work a bit, and stop, re-entering the same task on the list. With GTD, I always felt I had to finish the next action in one sitting. And sometimes that is simply not possible. I am thinking specifically of a knitting project I have going. My next action is to finish the sleeve. But this will take hours of knitting. Under GTD, I would resist it because I knew I couldn't finish it. With Autofocus, I do a bit and move it forward.

Wow, I cannot believe it. Does the "Autofocus system" work so well?
