Why Did I Download/Buy This?

I had heard of Glary utilities a few years ago and never bothered to install it. When I started experiencing some problems at work, I decided to download it and clean up the system.

The install was straightforward, with no junk attached. It came with a nice user interface. The 1-Click maintenance includes a registry cleaner, a shortcut fixer, startup manager, temporary file cleaner, tracks eraser (for removing your Internet tracks) and a spyware remover.

Taking it to the next level, the module section allows you to adjust 18 settings for the computer, including process cleaning and file management. The included memory manager sounds like a good idea, but I haven’t been able to get it to work.

How Do I Use This?

Since I installed Glary at work, I have had much quicker startup times, thanks to cleaning out the processes and start menu, as well as reclaiming large chunks of space from files I had “backed up” before an operation and then forgot to remove. I am impressed with how quickly this utility works, and the thoroughness of what it does.
