Having the Right Tool….Priceless

Last night during a meeting we were discussing doing an “emergency” pick up of our adopt-a-spot. The spot had been filling with garbage swept in by in the heavy rains and the movement of the waters.

As always with a group of working professionals, there was a question of scheduling. We needed to know low tide so we could do the work safely.

Out came the PDA, and looking up the tides with TideTool, I was able to help them come to a conclusion about when to clean up. There are those in the group who have commented (with derision) on my dependence on my PDA, but last night even they fell silent as I was able to produce the information needed.

It really is about having the right tool at the right time, isn’t it?
