How To Be More Productive…Application Launchers
Posted on January 30, 2009 by LJ
Fridays are tip days at SimpleProductivity blog.

Every now and then I like to jazz things up a bit on my computer. A new wallpaper, perhaps some new colors, that sort of thing.
My most recent jazziness actually helps my productivity as well: I installed an application launcher.
An application launcher is a customizable program that allows you to have your most-used programs in a nifty graphical bar.
There are many out there. Lifehacker did a reader poll on them, which you can read at their site: “Best Application Launchers“.
I find that my launcher is great at keeping me focused. It’s there when I need it, and if I don’t, the only thing I see on the screen is what I’m working on. I am less likely to be distracted if there is nothing but my work in front of me.
