Fridays are tip days at SimpleProductivity blog.
In this age of digital communication, I still write letters. More, I have friends who write letters back. Real, old-fashioned, delivered by the postman letters. On real paper.
My problem is when I receive a letter, to return it in a timely fashion. Because it’s not in my email box, it’s not in my face, and I can overlook it. Also, because I may need the letter in front of me to craft a reply, I may not have everything I need to write a letter at all times.
I find that if I keep a file folder with me with some blank cards, and the letters I need to answer. I take this with me on Fridays to work, and spend my lunch break answering letters. By Friday, I need a break from the digital, so writing letters is a good antidote.
