How To Unstick Sliding Doors…Without Grease

Talking about unsticking zippers with soap last week led me to think about another cool unsticking trick.
If you have a sliding door that doesn’t pull or push smoothly, try…candle wax!
How to Unstick a Sliding Door
Clean the track to the door, removing all dust, debris and grease.
Take a new white candle, and run the end back and forth along the track for the door. Cover both the top of the track, and the sides where the door rides.
Taper candles work best for this because their shape allows you to cover the entire track. Move the door back and forth a few times over the waxed track, then wax the track again.
The advantage to using this method over a can of spray grease is that the wax will stay put on the track. Grease can easily get from the track onto your floor and cause stains.
