Using iTunes Genius To Auto-Construct Playlists

We have a lot of music in our household. Our tastes span everything from jazz, classical, doo-wop, 80s and current music. I like to keep all my music with me; after all, what good is an MP3 player if you have to keep changing out music? I might as well haul around CDs.
What I found, though, is that putting the device on random play often had me constantly skipping songs. I needed a way to customize music to my moods, but I didn’t want to put in the effort to create playlists.
Enter iTunes Genius.
Genius scans your music, then bounces the information against a database at Apple to put together songs. Pick one song, and have it generate a list, then you can save the list as a playlist.
It was so amazingly easy that I generated ten playlists within minutes. And the songs really do work together, even when I was very doubtful they would.
If you have iTunes, give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised.
