Today is the American Thanksgiving. While I don’t buy into the entire mythos surrounding the pilgrims and the natives, I do think it is a good idea that once a year everyone stop and think about what they are thankful for.
Gratitude and Attitude
Having an attitude of gratitude has been shown to improve our mindset and bring us into a place of abundance. I don’t know if I buy into the Law of Attraction, but I do know that when I am focus on the things I have rather than the things I don’t, I feel much better. To do this, make a list.
Making a Gratitude List
A gratitude list is just a list of things you are thankful for. They can be big, small, serious, silly, for whatever you are thankful for. There is no right way to write this list, just as there are no rules to what goes on it. Just pick up a pen, grab a piece of paper, and start writing.
5 Things I Am Thankful For Today
In honor of the holiday, here are 10 things I am thankful for today:
- Books
- Coffee
- Warm sweaters
- Comfortable shoes
- The ability to learn
- My husband and daughter
- My fur-babies
- My domicile
- Having a car
- Clean water
- Enough food
Happy thanksgiving, everyone!
