Launch of the (Revised) Recommendations

Wednesdays are simplicity days at SimpleProductivity blog.

One of the things I promised myself I would get done in February was to re-stock and re-launch my Amazon recommendations.
I had put it off for so long because Amazon’s interface is clunky and hard to work with. After all, who wants to spend hours putting recommendations in, only to not be able to find them again?
But I found a way to make it simpler.
Instead of searching for every product and adding it to the store interface, I created Listmania Lists for most of my categories. Listmania is easier to use because it allows me to see the product at a decent size (instead of the 0.5 inch square thumbnail).
Then it was a matter of hooking the lists to my categories, and et voila! The recommendations were done.
If you are so inclined, feel free to visit the Amazon recommendations – the link is “Recommended Products” link in the side bar — or by clicking here.
