We grew up on sandwiches made from deli meat bought in bulk. She would divide it into several one week's supply bags and freeze it. I never noticed any loss of quality during the defrosted weeks (although I occasionally had sandwiches with partially frozen meat when we didn't take the next week's supply out of the freezer in time). A generic coffee would be "Safeway-brand" (or "Kroger-brand" or "Fry's-brand" or "Food Club"/Basha's brand.) Maxwell house is a famous brand of inexpensive coffee that is sold in supermarkets, in contrast to Starbuck's, a more expensive coffee that is usually sold already-made.
