Open Loops 12/23/08: Articles I Found Interesting

Tuesdays are open loop at SimpleProductivity blog.


Photo by lxsoconWhile doing research on the batching articles, I ran across the “Batch Your Input Tasks to Maximize Output” article at Tools for Thought. What caught me was not the batching information, but the classification of things as either input or output. Classifying these items in this way allows for another take on balance and batching.


Information overload is not a new concept. Over at “Slaw: Combating Information Overload“, a brief history of the problem is presented, along with the consequences of overload, and preventative measures.


How to reduce “stuff” is an ongoing concern in my life. However, I focus mainly on the things I can see. The article “Simple Stuff Reduction Tips” at Productivity501 gives some great “hidden” stuff to simplify.


Stress Free Life – FamilyEducation.com” has a great list of techniques for managing stress. It’s aimed at moms, but it applies to everyone, I think.
