Open Loops 4/21/2009: Articles I Think Worth Passing Along

Tuesdays are open loop at SimpleProductivity blog.
In “3 Tools to Test Run your AntiVirus/Spyware Program“, MakeUseOf brought up a good point. We have these protections installed, but how do we know they work? The article shows you ways to test your security.
“Ruthless Simplicity: How to ward off doing more and burning out | Unclutterer“. Wow. The final paragraph really hit home:
If you can see busy times coming, plan to do less, not accommodate more. Refuse to expand, insist on boundaries. Take your soul vitamins – be sure to do the little things that nourish your spirit. Reject anything that doesn’t foster your greatness, and put systems into place that support your freedom. Be ruthless. You’re worth it.
“Simple, Green, Frugal Co-op: Energy Efficiency and Saving Money” caught my eye because we had seen dramatic savings when we switched to CFLs in our house. It just goes to show that little things do make a difference. We consume without thinking about it.
