Open Loops 6/30/2009: Articles I Thought Worth Passing Along

Tuesdays are open loop at SimpleProductivity blog.
My Simpler Life’s article “Improve your Relationships with the 90 Second Rule” is a good reminder. Relationships are built on connections. Connection requires full attention.
“How To Kill Unresponsive Programs without The Task Manager” over at MakeUseOf is a lifesaver. It only works out-of-the-box on XP Pro and Vista, but with Outlook locking up on me hourly at work, it is much easier to run a batch file than trying to fight the computer for control of the task manager.
DailyBlogTips says “Simplicity Is Essential” and lists top businesses and products that are simple. We all over-complicate our lives. What could be learned from trying to make a part of our life simple? I was realizing this morning that my change to automated backups has really simplified my life.
I never know what to do with leftovers. Now, thanks to the SimpleDollar’s “Some Thoughts on the Tightwad Gazette’s “Flexible Casserole Recipe”“, I have some great ideas.
Staci Wallace has a rather rambling article about clutter with a great nugget in it: “To be truly happy, sometimes you must eliminate unhealthy people and situations from your life“. (from De-Cluttering Your Space, De-Clutter Your Life!). I haven’t done a person-purge in a few years. I need to look at it again.
