Photo by CrinityFar too often in the quest for frugality, I am asked about certain purchases, which looked at on a price basis alone seem to say “not frugal”. The actual truth is that I go for the best quality I can afford. A good look at this is WhiteHatBlackBox’s article “Get Some Quality in Your Life”.

After reading Unclutter’s “Teaching time management skills to children”, I reinstated some thing I had grown slack on, such as no television within an hour before bedtime and giving warnings. I’m now experiencing less stress with my daughter. Being summer, I’ve slacked off on the getting ready the night before, and it is showing as we consistently rush out the door late every morning.

Craving Balance says in “3 simple things you can do to launch a revolution in your evolution and get in balance” “Because you can’t solve the puzzle of balance by layering gadgets, tools and toys over what’s really broken.” Three examples of what is called non-productivity are given. Basically it just means saying what you mean, and saying it nicely and firmly.

It’s not always easy to follow our values on the spur of the moment basis. Yet “Values-based choices give productivity context“. Craving Balance has some great points over at “Productivity is Not the Path to Balance…Balance is the Path to Productivity”

Mark Forster asks “How Simple Can I Make This?” in “Simplicity”. I needlessly complicate things. Often. Maybe looking at how to simplify things should be my focus in the coming weeks.
