Dumb Little Man has an article about life lessons from Uncle Walt at “7 Life Changing Lessons Learned From Walt Disney”. My favorite is “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.“.

It is so easy to fall into the trap of getting stuff. Small Notebook talks about a specific example in “Simplify Your Stuff: Choose the Classics”. After all, did our grandmothers every stop producing food for lack of a food processor, bread machine or gas grill? No. But this goes so far beyond the kitchen: I recently picked up a new way to store my writing materials. Sure, they are in a pretty box now, but at the same time, they’re not out where I can work on them. I need to get better about asking, before every purchase, “What problem will this solve for me, and is it really that much of a problem?

I’ll admit the first time I read Illuminated Mind’s “Seven Weird Habits That Will Change Your Life“, I blew it off. But it got stuck in my reading list due to a software glitch, and I’m glad it did. What would it mean if areas of my life weren’t hard? What do I think is impossible? Feeling before doing would save me a lot of resentment…

I have only skimmed the “3 Free Ebooks by 3 Great Bloggers”, but there appears to be a good chunk of wisdom here. Help yourself, they’re free!
