Open Loops 11/29/2011: Articles I Think Worth Passing Along

Tuesdays are open loop days at SimpleProductivity blog.
- The title says it all: “7 Profound Realizations That Have Changed My Life (And Might Change Yours)”. Look through them. It got me thinking about some things. From Pick The Brain.
- I really like the first one on this list of “One Dozen Simple Stress Busters”. Make a list of stress-makers and eliminate them. Overwhelming stress is often the result of lots of little things. Eliminate them, and your stress level will go down. From Advanced Life Skills.
- I am in this boat too. If I am overwhelmed and tired, and then rest, my head goes off and does weird stuff. If I do something meditative and repetitive, I rest. This is one of the reasons I love raking leaves, knitting and walking the dog. From Bloom’s “Simple Tasks That Are Good For Your Soul”
- Bloom’s “99 Ways to Feel Good About Yourself Right Now” is a great list to remind you to get out of your head, and focus on outside.
- As much as I write, there are days when I have nothing to say. But when I’m generating 5-10 articles a week plus novel writing (plus work and all those other real-life things), I have to be able to get through writer’s block fast. This a great list of techniques to keep handy if you ever get to the place where “your imaginary friends won’t talk to you”. From Wake Up Cloud’s “11 Ways to Eliminate and Overcome Writer’s Block Fast”
