For a few months, I’ve been feeling a need to change things up. I don’t know what is behind the feeling, but I decided that this year I would do my best to make major dreams of mine come true.
I don’t believe that dreams come true by magic. I know they take hard work, and in order to be effective, that means I need a road map. A plan.
I also know that I need tools to plan. Things that will help me crystallize this in my head and give me a visual reminder of where I am going. I need to start planning the new year.
So here are my two tools for success, in action:
The NeuYear Calendar
This is exactly the type of planner I was looking at. I realized that I hadn’t taken a blog vacation all year…and it was partly because I didn’t have a big picture of what was going on in the blog from week to week. So I made a calendar, except that the font ended up being so small I couldn’t see it.
I was thinking I wanted to get a big, see-the-year-at-once-calendar, and in came the NeuYear Calendar. I LOVE this! It has a portrait calendar on one side, and a landscape on the other (that’s what I’m using due to the ceiling height in my office.). It is laminated, so I can use dry-erase markers on it. I’ve already scheduled in my blogging vacations.
The Incredible Life Planners
I have used versions of these planners since they came out 2 years ago. Last year I printed the pages and put them in a notebook (See What If You Make 2012 Your Most Extraordinary Year Yet?). This year I decided to use an empty Rollabind notebook… and I will confess a part of that is I just wanted to cut the sheets apart and put them in – no glue!
So I have the tools assembled. Next up…reviewing 2012. I will be sharing parts of this with you, both from the Life and Business planners over the next week. Then on to the actual planning!
Do You Want These Tools?
The NeuYear Calendar is available online.
The Incredible Year Planners are available online for download, and they cost just $10 a piece. That’s a real bargain…but be warned…they are “girly” and “hippy-dippy” (her words, not mine) and not your typical blah and boring planner. If you can’t use them, buy them for someone who can! It’s a great gift.
NeuYear provided me with a free calendar so I could see how awesome it is. It ROCKS!
