Here are some random thoughts I’ve been having this week.
I have to have a plan. After walking away from a promotion, my job situation has gone to you-know-where in a handbasket. I realized this week that if I don’t come up with some sort of plan, I am going to go insane. I need to figure out a side project, start looking for a new job, look at new careers…something to get me through the day. More about this in a bit…
It is always possible to start over. After a monumental productivity slump (that started around the same time the job went sour), I can get myself back into the swing of things with a big of planning and thinking outside the box.
Speaking of creative thinking, this Pearls Before Swine cartoon really had me laughing.
It is really difficult to figure out what you know that other people might want to know. Very weird.
It’s always possible to say “no”. We were looking at getting the covered gutters put on our house, and after getting three very expensive estimates, and the major selling point being that they would come out and clean the gutters when they clogged, my husband asked why get new gutters at all? Up until then I hadn’t considered that keeping our current gutters was an option.
