Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Free
  • Solid application

Cons

  • An awful lot of writing for a game :)

Why Did I Download/Buy This?

My first computer, a TI 99/4A, had a host of games. But the one I liked the best was a game called “Pirate Adventure”. It was a text adventure, and in response to a command prompt and a limited set of commands like “LOOK” and “DROP” and “GET” you moved through an adventure. I had a great time with it, and when I stumbled across this game, I was hit by a wave of nostalgia and downloaded it.

I haven’t finished the game, and it’s currently not on my PDA. But that is not because of anything with the game, which is well written and interesting.

As a side note, there is a site that has a lot of text adventure games, as well as a Palm application to run them. I was able to find my pirate adventure there and have some fun.

How Do I Use This?

Let’s face it, a game like this is only going to be a nostalgic entertainment. But fun!
