Summary

ByHeart, by Slothware, is a phrase memorization aide.

Overview

Manufacturer: Slothware
Platform: Palm
Current Version: Palm: 1.0b

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Pulls from any memo
  • Gives three modes of memorization: line by line, first letter or consonants.

Cons

  • No help to speak of
  • Not intuitive

Why Did I Download/Buy This?

I needed something to be able to help me memorize long phrases of text. Standard flashcard applications were not what I needed; I needed to get the exact wording.

How Do I Use This?

I type in what I want to memorize in the memo, then work with the software to memorize it. This works very much like a method I used in my school days where we would write a phrase on the board, then repeat the whole phrase, erasing one word each time.
