Review: DA Launcher

Posted on February 27, 2006 by LJ

Summary

DA Launcher 5, by Tatsushi Yamada, is a Desk Accessory Launcher.

Overview

Manufacturer: Tatsushi Yamada
Platform: Palm
Current Version: Palm: 5.1b4

What is a Desk Accessory?

I never needed a desk accessory launcher until I started using Desk Accessories (or DAs). Desk Accessories are small units of functionality that allow me to quickly perform actions on my Palm.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Small program size
  • Extremely reliable (I’ve never had it crash)
  • Simple and easy to use
  • The application gives two shortcuts as well as a pop-up menu of all DAs on the system
  • Free

Cons

  • None

Why Did I Download/Buy This?

I decided on this program primarily because of the excellent reviews it had received on Palm Gear.

How I Use This?

DAs allow me to quickly jot things down while doing another task. This way I can get things into a place for processing later, without interrupting what I am doing.

Update 5/6/2007

I am still using DA Launcher. And it has still never crashed on me.
