Summary

Hugo is a program that will run all the old text adventure games. Currently I have converted Pirate Adventure. For more information see http://www.wurb.com/if/index.

Overview

Platform: Palm
Current Version: unknown

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Free
  • Solid programming
  • Does a good job of handling the old adventures

Cons

  • The interface is a bit clunky.

Why Did I Download/Buy This?

I was a fan of the old text adventure games, where I was presented with a text description and I had to type in text commands to move through the adventure. I discovered this site, which not only has the interpreters for Palm and Windows, but has a huge selection of the old games. Currently I have converted Pirate Adventure. (For more information see http://www.wurb.com/if/index.)

How Do I Use This?

Sadly, I do not use this. Although I was very excited about finding the pirate adventure for my Palm, I was unable to capture the excitement I once had. Apparently I have changed, as my tastes now run more to Sudoku and Scrabble.
