Fridays are tip days at SimpleProductivity blog.
I like to have a protein/banana shake in the morning. It’s very filling and keeps me from having cravings later in the day. The problem is that washing the blender by hand every day is time consuming, and takes a chunk out of my day; yet putting it in the dishwasher means it might not be clean for the next use.
You can clean the blender using soapy water and the base very quickly.
The Simple Blender Cleaning Method
- Rinse your blender to get most of the stuff out.
- Fill it 3/4 way with hot water
- Squirt in a little dish soap
- Run it on the highest speed your blender has, using pulse to splash the soap up the walls of the container.
- Dump the soapy water out
- Disassemble and rinse
- Drip dry
This method literally saves me five minutes every single morning, and that means I am less rushed to get out the door. I often take that time to review my calendar or clean up a bit in the kitchen, giving myself a jumpstart on the day ahead.
