Shower Cleaner Showdown

Fridays are tip days at SimpleProductivity blog.
I was reading an article that claimed that pure vinegar on a sponge would take even the toughest soap scum off of shower walls and doors. I decided to put it to the test, since I like the thought of non-toxic cleaners.
I did one shower door with pure vinegar on a scrubby sponge, and the other with my standard Mr. Clean eraser. The test actually took very little time, but I had to keep the fan on, as I am not a fan of the vinegar smell. (The smell did evaporate within an hour).
Results? Hands down to the Mr. Clean Eraser. It took the soap scum off faster and with less effort than the vinegar. Actually, after I did the test, I ran over the vinegar door with the eraser, and got the remaining soap off quickly and easily.

… and the “magic sponge” doesn’t smell either! I love that thing! I use it for everything. When it came out on the market my husband would tell me I need to a spokes person for them. I tell all my clients about it!
The Mr. Clean eraser is the *only* thing that I have found to clean the dirt off of the textured shower floor. It also took crayon off the textured plaster of the dining room. And one of my friends swears that it cleans his microwave better than anything else. I think I need to line up as a spokesperson as well.
Maybe an article on all the things I have used the eraser on should go on the list?
