Fridays are tip days at SimpleProductivity blog.
I’ve got the holidays on the brain this week. But by the end of the week, I will have just about everything done, and can enjoy the rest of December.
Today, I want to point out to U.S. residents two great services our Post Office provides.
Stamps By Mail
It is possible to get stamps by mail using either the form from the Post Office, or by ordering online. The Post Office charges a flat handling fee no matter the quantity you order, and they are delivered via mail. This saves a lot of time for getting special stamps…you don’t have to wait in line at the Post Office, or have correct change for the stamp vending machine. You can buy stamps at the Postal Store.
Pick Up and Mail Packages
Last year I discovered a great service. I wrap up my packages for mailing, weigh them at home, print out a form after paying for postage, and the postal worker picks up the packages at my door and takes them away.
You can print shipping labels at Print Postage, and then arrange for pickup at Carrier Pickup.
