Switching hosts…expect downtime

I finally got fed up with my hosting company. I’ve used GoDaddy for years, and put up with the sexist ads, the racy commercials and what not. After all, I dealt with that kind of stuff when I was in engineering school, and it doesn’t particularly bother me.

But the last straw came this past week, when the CEO put up a video about shooting an elephant.

You see, I am a supporter of the Elephant Sanctuary. I love these giant, gentle creatures. And while I don’t often agree with PETA on things, being a meat-eater, I agree with them on this one.

I talked it over with my husband, and we agreed that even though I would probably lose a bunch of money on pre-paid hosting, I needed to make the move away from a company that was just so opposite to my own views.

So even though I had planned to take the next two weeks off from the blog, this weekend I am making the switch to a new host. Since I’m doing it kind of spur-of-the-moment, there will probably be some disruptions. Please forgive these.

More coming in the future…
