What’s Ahead on SimpleProductivityBlog in 2011

As I shared earlier this week (see “Planning for the New Year“), I am going to be focusing on growth in 2011. Since this is going to work in every area of my life, that means it will be at work here on the blog as well. So I thought I would share some of my intentions for SimpleProductivityBlog in 2011.
Behind The Scenes
There will be some changes coming to the blog, particularly as I work to automate certain tasks and make this blog at least cover its own expenses. I have a huge list of blogging plug-ins to try, and a few layout things as well. I don’t foresee there will be a big layout shift in 2011 as it was in 2010, though.
Archive Posts
I’ve been writing the articles here for four years. It’s time to look back and see what is in the archives. There will be archive posts on the Thursdays where I don’t have a guest lined up. Sometimes these will be updates on past posts, and sometimes they will be links to the original articles.
Guest Posting
2010 saw a few guest posts on SimpleProductivityBlog. I will be opening it up more, seeking more guest posts from among the readers (yes, that means you all!), as well as working out article trades with other authors. I’d also like to do some compilation posts, where we ask various experts questions about productivity and simplicity, and compile the answers.
If any of you would like to post, please contact me! And if you have any suggestions for questions you’d like someone to answer, contact me as well!
Contests
I like running contests, and I hope the ones from 2010 were pleasing. I’ll be doing a few more contests in 2011.
Surveys
I had intended to get a survey done earlier in 2010, but, well, it got away from me. I would like to compile answers to what you, the readers, want to see and the problems you’d like to talk about here.
The Rest of 2010
For the rest of 2010 I will be posting archive articles. This will give me a little bit of time to get the new articles started, and get to work on some of the new things.

Some planning is done…here is what you can expect to see in January of 2011:
