My life feels directionless on a regular basis. Sure, there's a narrative that makes it all hang together, but it's an after-the-fact fable. The real truth is that I do what I do, don't really know why, and most major accomplishments feel like they just kind of happen along the way. I've never been particularly ambitious or driven, and am pretty envious of those who can harnass that level of motivation. My podcast really represented my current approach to life. (Subject to change without notice, by the way.) The Big Honkin' Plan approach just wasn't working. So now I'm choosing for fun and meaning, assuming I'll find some way to put food on the table along the way. In retrospect, there will be some inspiring story tying it all together, but that's not how it feels now. I’m so glad to know there are others out there!
