Update 12/28/2013: The Contest Has Ended. The winner has been notified via email.

I love the NeuYear calendars. They show the whole year in continuity…not broken into 12 blocks. By taking away that arbitrary distinction, I can see what is coming in the next two weeks…without fooling myself that I have time because something is “next month”.

NeuYear is going to give away a calendar to one lucky reader. There are two ways to enter:

  1. Comment on this post, telling me what your #1 planning challenge is
  2. Tweet this article, including @smplprodblog and #neuyear in the Tweet

One comment and one tweet per person, please. :)

I will randomly select one winner from the entries. The winner can choose from a Sunday- or Monday- start calendar, paper or dry-erase. All calendars come with a landscape and portrait mode.

This contest will end on Friday 12/27/2013, midnight EST.

  1. Simon says:

My number 1 challenge is finding time to do things that aren’t related to work, like reading books or participating in a MOOC.

  2. My #1 planning challenge is not taking on a million things at once and overwhelming myself. A calendar that showed exactly how much I’m trying to cram into each day would be helpful to make me stop. :)

  3. Amy O says:

Limiting it to one is a challenge… But the most significant and recurring challenge is ‘compartmentalizing’ distractions so that I am present in the present, especially when it’s family time, or time with an individual family member. I’m a long range planner when it comes to time management – and I HATE having to mentally connect what is artificially segmented (12 distinct months).

  4. Devon says:

My number one challenge is making sure I spend as many moments as I can with my precious kids…by making sure all other aspects of my life are as streamlined as can be…while fitting in moments to pursue my dreams :)

  5. Judi says:

My#1 challenge has been and continues to be trying to figure out the best organizational method to use. With constant switching between paper and digital, I just can’t keep my lists and calendar straight.

  6. Paul says:

My number one challenge is trying to figure out the best capture method. I’m still utilizing multiple methods due to I’m guessing fear of letting the old “tried and true” methods die and moving on with the new and probably better based on early trials.

  7. Amber says:

My biggest challenge is “out of sight, out of mind”. If I don’t remember to look at my calendar daily or weekly, things fall by the wayside. It would be nice to have it all in my face all of the time! =)
